Family Update

I spent most of the day today, at work, (it's rainy) getting my schedule in order for the rest of the summer. I feel like if I lost my calendar I would be completely lost! I don't even know what tomorrow holds for me unless I consult the thing.

Tim is home with the kids today putting up soffit on our front porch! I am excited to see it tomorrow. He may even get the three lights up we bought about a year ago. His parents are visiting today also. Hopefully they have a good visit despite the rain.

In other news...

Sami just got back from Colorado Springs where she attended her cousins baby's funeral. He died, very unexpectedly at 4 days old of MCAD. A very rare genetic condition. Our hearts go out to Sarah and Chris as we all know the pain they are feeling firsthand. Sami is back home life guarding for now. Her move to Colorado for Grad school is coming soon!

Madi's room make over is nearly completed with only the trim to paint. That may take a while. Oh, and her curtains need to be hemmed, both for the closet and window. That may take a while...did I say that already? She will be going to High Hill Christian Camp near the end of the month.

Simon just got back from boyscout camp at S-F Ranch. He had a great time as usual. I think that boy could live in the woods! He too will be heading off to High Hill soon. Oh did I mention his birthday in July 19th! We will be partying it up on the 18th for him. He will wrap up the summer birthdays (of which there are 3!)

Zoe is hanging with me and dad...no camps for her...she's "not that kind of girl" in her own words. She is taking care of Riley and Mike (the dogs) and trying to talk me into making over her room asap. Zoe and Simon will be wrapping up Swim Team in about two weeks and will finally be able to do some sleeping in.

Ruthie and Sully are trying to set a record on Vacation Bible Schools this summer. They've already done two and are planning a third at my mom and dad's church at the end of this month. They love them and so do I for more reasons than one. ALSO, they both have officially learned how to swim!!! I can finally relax a bit at the pool. It's been a long time coming. They will be on the swim team next year along with the rest of the kids.

The only other change is our friend from France, Daphne, could not make it to stay with us for the month of July. We were really looking forward to getting to know her and showing her around. She had plane ticket problems that couldn't be fixed. Hopefully she will reschedule in the near future.

All for now! Peace to all!

Technical challenges

Wow, I feel so inadequate at all this blogging, facebooking, twittering!!! I think it's cool to keep connected with people, but so much time is spent trying to figure it all out. Maybe after a few more (hundred) hours of playing around with it I'll get it. Don't I have better stuff to do with my time? It's really cool though....

Missing My Family

Im sitting in a small room in Phelps County Regional Hospital (Rolla) missing my family. I don't like not being there. Don't get me wrong! I love a break every so often from the craziness of the Clancy home, but I don't like things happening with my family and I can't be there to live it. I've been trying to remember the big picture in life lately. We are here for such a short amount of time in all of eternity. We are so lucky that God gave us a chance at this thing called "life". Every bump in the road is a challenge we get to try and overcome. It sounds exciting to me! When I'm in a good frame of mind, I have the grandest of plans to overcome all of my obsticles. I just need to try and remember that when I am confronted face to face with them. It's like a game. Some you win and some you lose. I plan on winning.
